- Symptom
- This problem is a flexor tendon inflammation, and is caused by excess use of finger tips. This problem resembles a tendon sheath inflammation in this respect, but the symptom is completely different. A flexor tendon inflammation is caused by overuse of a flexor muscle. A tendon sheath inflammation, on the other hand, is caused by loads on an extensor muscle and occurs in the region near the dorsal carpal tendinous sheaths and the wrist. Both of them are caused by overuse of finger tips, but they are different in the manner of finger usage that causes the problem.
